Who Makes the World's Best Photo Magnets?

We've selected the nine largest, best known and most interesting companies: Cheerz, Lalalab, Social Print Studio, Photobox, Inkifi, Origrami, Foxprint, Magnapix and Squared.one with one simple mission: test them personally and review them according to a given criteria (simplicity and order process, print quality and processing, price, shipping and customer service).

Our first challenge was to find one specific type of a photo magnet that would be offered by all services and that could be fairly and objectively compared among the services. There are so many shapes and varieties on the market but God bless the Instagram photo format - everyone makes square magnets!

We ordered the same number of photo magnets from each company with economy international shipping. We have used the same pictures for all of them, you can see the originals here. We included a few that were over or under-exposed on purpose, just out of curiosity, to see how they turn out!

While we waited for the delivery, we put together our evaluation criteria:

1. Placing the order: how easy and intuitive is it to select photos in the photo editor tool or mobile app? Can you edit your photos? We were also interested in filter application or option to add text, the payment currency and payment processing.
2. Delivery: speed, pricing, availability of a tracking number, what the packaging looks like and the possibility of priority shipping.
3. The product: the variety of offered products, the minimum order, the quality of print and material, the pricing and quality to price ratio.
4. Customer support and overall communication: emails received during the process, FAQ on the website, option to get in touch with support, the speed and professionalism of communication, their response in case of issues such as non delivery, damaged delivery or mistakes in the order.
5. Joy from the product: branding, packaging design, overall aesthetics and joy of the order as a whole, possibility to send the order as a gift, extra services, unexpected surprises.
