Colorful leaves, shiny chestnuts, pumpkins on every corner… Autumn is truly magical. It’s also the perfect season to enjoy family time outdoors and indoors. Here are six creative ideas to spark joy, curiosity, and togetherness with your little ones.
A simple walk in the park or forest can turn into an adventure. Ask your kids to collect leaves of different shapes and colors. At home, press them between books and use them later to make a beautiful autumn collage.
👉 Tip: Try turning leaves into animals – a fox, a hedgehog, or even an owl. All you need is some glue and imagination.
Grab a camera (or just your phone) and head outside to “hunt” for the most colorful scenes. Kids can look for the reddest leaf, the longest shadow, or the happiest autumn corner. Print the photos and place them in a family album – a wonderful keepsake of your autumn together.
Chestnut animals never go out of style. Collect chestnuts, acorns, and get creative – make little figurines, wreaths, or playful decorations. Toothpicks and a hot glue gun (with adult help!) are all you need to bring these treasures to life.
Autumn without pumpkins? Impossible! Carve a glowing pumpkin lantern together, then use the pulp to make pumpkin soup or muffins. Kids will be proud to help out and even prouder to taste the result.
This cute photo album kit is a must-have at home. Each page can fit a few classic photos and of course many wallet-size photos that. Try a small scrapbooking kit with 9.45x7" photo album in classic colours or the original purple or brown-pink. Every kit includes photo album, gift card for printing photos, washi tapes, photo-mounting corners, gel pens and stickers.
Layer up – autumn weather is unpredictable, so pack raincoats too.
Snacks save the day – a thermos of warm tea and a few treats will keep spirits high.
Involve kids of all ages – little ones collect and craft, older kids take photos or write notes.
Preserve the memories – add photos, drawings, or pressed leaves to a family scrapbook. Each autumn gets its own story.
Autumn isn’t just a chilly prelude to winter. It’s a season full of color, discovery, and small adventures. Whether you head into the woods, get crafty at home, or simply sip tea together on a blanket, these moments will become part of your family’s story.
